FC 27 Gallery Tags Explained: How to Maximize Your Score

FC 27 Gallery Tags Explained: How to Maximize Your Score

Tags are one of the most important mechanics in the FC 27 FUT Gallery. A good collection is not simply about putting the highest-rated players into a Set. The right combination of Tags can add large percentage bonuses to the score of qualifying cards and push a collection from A to S.

If you are trying to build an efficient Gallery without wasting FIFA 27 Coins for sale, understanding how Tags work should be one of your first priorities.

How Gallery Tags Work

Every Player Item has an Item Score based on its OVR and rarity. Those scores create the Set’s Base Grade.

Tags then add bonus score to qualifying Items. The important detail is that the percentage applies to the Items that actually match the Tag rather than automatically applying to every card in the Set.

For example, having five players from the same league activates the first Same League tier. The bonus applies to the qualifying players, not the entire collection.

The more qualifying cards you have, the stronger many Tags become.

Same League, Nation and Club

These are some of the easiest Tags for normal clubs to activate.

Same League requires five players from the same league:

5–9 players: +1%
10–19 players: +2%
20+ players: +8%

Same Nation works in a similar way:

5–9 players: +1%
10–19 players: +2%
20+ players: +4%

Same Club also uses the same three thresholds:

5–9 players: +1%
10–19 players: +2%
20+ players: +4%

This makes Same League particularly interesting for larger Sets. If you can reach 20 qualifying players, its top bonus is considerably higher than the equivalent Same Nation or Same Club bonus.

Different League, Nation and Club

You can also build your collection around variety.

Different League, Different Nation, and Different Club all provide:

5–9 qualifying items: +1%
10–19: +2%
20+: +4%

These Tags can be useful when a Set naturally contains players from many different teams, countries or leagues.

You do not necessarily need to force them into a collection. If your existing cards already satisfy the requirements, treat the bonus as additional value.

First Owner Is Extremely Powerful

First Owner is one of the strongest Tags in the current system.

Its bonuses are:

5–9 First Owner Items: +150%
10–19: +300%
20+: +500%

That is dramatically higher than most basic Tags.

This is why cards obtained naturally through packs and eligible rewards can be extremely valuable for Gallery purposes. A purchased card can still count as collected, but it does not activate the First Owner Tag.

If you have a large number of First Owner players that fit the same Set, building around them can produce a huge score increase.

Holographic and TOTW

Special cards have their own powerful Tags.

Holographic provides:

2–3 Items: +8%
4–5: +12%
6+: +20%

TOTW provides:

3–5 Items: +4%
6–9: +8%
10+: +15%

EA confirms that Holographic status contributes to Item Score and that rarity and Holographic bonuses can stack. A Holographic TOTW card can therefore benefit from both relevant bonuses.

These Tags are harder to build than basic league or nation combinations, but they can be very useful in Sets where you already own several qualifying special cards.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Tags

Rarity-based Tags can produce surprisingly large bonuses.

Bronze:

5–9: +20%
10–19: +40%
20+: +80%

Silver:

5–9: +15%
10–19: +30%
20+: +60%

Golden:

5–9: +1%
10–19: +2%
20+: +4%

This means Bronze and Silver Tags can be particularly powerful when a Set contains enough low-rated cards. Do not automatically assume Gold players are always better for Gallery scoring.

Other Tags Worth Knowing

FC 27 also includes several more specialized Tags:

Iconic: +10%, +15%, +25% at 2–3, 4–5 and 6+ Icons
Heroic: +8%, +12%, +20% at 2–3, 4–5 and 6+ Heroes
Multiples: +10%, +15%, +20% for 2, 3 and 4+ copies of the same player
Skilled: +3%, +6%, +12% for players with 5-star Skill Moves
Ambidextrous: +3%, +6%, +12% for players with 5-star Weak Foot
Hands Only: +3%, +6%, +15% for qualifying goalkeepers
Defensive Wall: +3%, +6%, +10% for defenders
Midfield Control: +3%, +6%, +10% for midfielders
All Out Attack: +3%, +6%, +10% for attackers

These Tags can be stacked when the same cards satisfy multiple conditions.

The Best Way to Combine Tags

Do not build a Set around one Tag unless the bonus is particularly strong.

Instead, look for overlapping conditions.

For example, a collection could combine First Owner + Same League + Golden + Holographic if enough cards meet all four requirements. A First Owner card from the same league can contribute to both Tag conditions simultaneously.

The strongest strategy is therefore to find cards that satisfy multiple Tags rather than simply collecting a large number of cards.

Before buying players, check your current Gallery and identify which Tags are already close to activation.

Prioritize First Owner cards when possible, use Same League or Same Nation groups for easy bonuses, and take advantage of rarity or special-card Tags when your club naturally supports them.

You do not need to activate every Tag in every Set. The goal is to create the highest total score with the cards you already have.

If you are deciding whether to buy FIFA 27 Coins, first check whether a better Tag combination can solve the problem with your existing collection. A smart Gallery setup can turn ordinary cards into a much stronger score without simply spending more.

Once you learn to stack Tags instead of chasing OVR alone, reaching higher Gallery Grades becomes much more predictable.
